Conflict is inevitable, and in times of war and instability, those who hunt for a living and can safely tread the paths between civilized places are in high demand. Typically trained as a skilled archer and tracker, the presence of a borderer who can sniff out ambushes, find safe trails, or track down enemies has more than once been the difference between life and death on the frontiers.

Class Features

Hit Die: d8

Stamina: 3 + Constitution score at first level, 5 + Constitution modifier per following level.

Base Attack Bonus: High

Base Defense Bonus: High

High Saves: Fortitude and Reflex

Weapon Proficiencies: Simple and martial weapons

Armor Proficiencies: Light armor, medium armor, and shields (except tower shields).

Skill Points: 8 + Int modifier per level, x4 at first level.

Class Skills: Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, Taunt, Climb, Craft Weapon, Heal, Hide, Listen, Move Silently, Search, Set Trap, Spot, Survival, Swim and Tumble.

Feat Progression

Tracking (1), Ranged Fighting Style (1), Point Blank Shot (2), Woodland Stride (2), Pathwalker (3), Weapon Focus: Bow (4), Power Critical: Longbow (5), Nature Sense (6), Swift Tracker (7), Trackless Step (7), Improved Critical: Longbow (8 ), Hide in plain sight, Conditional (9), Camouflage (10)

Pathwalker: Starting at level 3, a Borderer receives a +1 bonus to Search, Spot, Listen, and Survival.

Hide in Plain Sight, Conditional: Starting at level 9, a Borderer may use the Hide in Plain Sight feat so long as he is outdoors and in heavy brush.
